Job Description

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and devices used by staff and students, including desktops, laptops, tablets, smart devices, operating systems and applications.

  • Manage and monitor the school IT service desk, ensuring timely support and resolution of incidents and requests.

  • Provide technical support and training to staff and students when required.

  • Take ownership of IT incidents, ensuring correct prioritization, communication and resolution.

  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring technical issues.

  • Monitor and manage escalated support tickets to ensure service efficiency.

  • Support request fulfilment processes and maintain the IT Service Catalogue.

  • Contribute to Change Management processes by assessing risks and operational impacts.

  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

  • Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.

  • Coordinate system updates, testing, communication and operational handovers.

  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Support IT compliance activities, including access control and security practices.

  • Monitor service performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide technical support for IT-related projects, including occasional out-of-hours support when required.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, regional IT departments and external service providers.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of IT service desk operations and incident management processes.

  • Experience supporting Windows and Apple environments.

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems.

  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, audiovisual technologies and IT security practices.

  • Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

  • Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer, GoToAssist or similar platforms.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
