BCB Secondary Business Teacher Job Description

We’re looking to recruit a Secondary Business Teacher to join our team at The British College of Brazil school, a Nord Anglia Education school.

 

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Secondary curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.

 

You’ll help us in managing and leading the school through the successful leadership of your curriculum area and the development of all members of the department and to carry out such associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the principal.

 

As a genuine team-player, you’ll work across our teams to promote the Mission, Vision, and the Values of the school. You will ensure that teaching and learning meets the expectations of the school.

You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and teaching experience. Required Skills/Abilities

  • Teaching degree with QTS
  • Knowledge and experience of the  Business English National Curriculum, IGCSE and IB curriculum
  • Knowledge of EAL teaching strategies
  • Previous international teaching experience
  • Experience and knowledge of IBDP
  • A proven track record of teaching Drama with at least two years teaching experience
  • High levels of personal integrity
  • Conscientious and able to focus on completing work to a consistently high standard
  • Flexible and positive approach to work
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills; high attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and able to prompt others to ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Adaptable to working in a fast paced ever changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
  • Proactive and willingness to take on multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be a team player, willing to help and be flexible
