NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is looking to recruit an EARLY YEARS TEACHER to join our Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) team, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the EYFS.

The role:

  • As a qualified Teacher of Early Years your focus will be to:
  • Inspire trust and confidence in children, colleagues and parents;
  • Engage and motivate children;
  • Continually strive to develop the quality of pupils’ learning;
  • Use the pupil tracking and monitoring process to advance pupil learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s promises;
  • Contribute to school’s improvement / development plan and promote the learning priorities, including a departmental improvement plan;
  • Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school
  • Engage in professional learning to ensure practice is ever evolving

  • Pastoral Duties

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Recognised teaching qualification and qualified to Bachelor of Education or appropriate Degree in relevant Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) subject (e.g. PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • EYFS background or similar qualification and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experiences
  • Secure working knowledge of the EYFS, knowledge of the English National Curriculum and related subject knowledge and pedagogy
  • A thorough understanding of how children learn within EYFS and how this affects children
  • Ability to provide broad, balanced, relevant and creative EYFS curriculum
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development related to the role of a teacher
  • Knowledge of assessment and reporting procedures to support effective intervention
  • Familiarity with data monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience in teaching children using technology in a virtually/hybrid environment
  • The ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of children   
  • Knowledge of pastoral monitoring and tracking systems
  • Experience of transition arrangements
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues and parents
  • Meticulous, detailed planning and organisation
  • Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
