In our Early Years we use a Reggio Emilia inspired approach. In Primary we are guided by the National Curriculum for England and the International Primary Curriculum. We also offer courses that focus on English, mathematics, life skills and employability through ASDAN programmes.

All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Secondary.

JOB PURPOSE

To work with the school and Regional Marketing, Admissions and Communications (MAC) team to develop and deliver the right brand messages to all our stakeholders (parents, students, and key influencers) within the school and wider community throughout all phases of the Parent Experience Journey.


This role will lead on all aspects of marketing and digital communications for the school, with a clear focus on driving inquiry volume and full-time equivalent (FTE) student growth. The Marketing Manager must have a commercially-minded, strategic approach, and be confident in challenging non-priority requests that do not contribute to student recruitment.

KEY RESULT AREAS AND MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE

1. Lead development and execution of the school marketing strategy to drive student recruitment
•    Develop and own the annual marketing plan and content strategy
•    Focus 80% of team effort on commercial priorities
•    Drive campaign ideation and implementation
•    Own all digital campaign execution (paid media, email marketing, SEO, CMS updates, etc.)
•    Monitor inquiry volumes and adjust plans accordingly

 

2. Position DCIS brand effectively in the local market
•    Align messaging with Nord Anglia Education brand and campaigns
•    Update brand materials and implement the brand style guide consistently across all touchpoints
•    Lead efforts to shift brand perception to include mainstream (Pathway 1) offering, while maintaining inclusive positioning


3.    Build and maintain digital marketing excellence
•    Lead paid ad campaigns and email marketing
•    Coordinate with Regional and Central teams for SEO and CMS work
•    Conduct regular audits and Digital Health Checks
•    Use data to inform decisions and ensure ROI


4.    Manage stakeholder relationships effectively
•    Collaborate positively with the Admissions Manager and wider team
•    Represent marketing in school-wide meetings with professionalism and empathy
•    Protect the team’s focus by pushing back on non-priority or time-intensive requests


5.    Support positive team culture and efficient operations
•    Promote a culture of respect, collaboration, and openness to change
•    Proactively flag high-demand periods and leverage external support when needed (e.g. freelance photographers)
•    Encourage a test-and-learn approach and openness to ai/automation


6.    Ensure consistency, clarity, and creativity in communications
•    Guide messaging tone, voice, and content across channels
•    Support creation of engaging, parent-focused content
•    Coach the team and other departments on strong communications practices


7.    Contribute to the wider school and MAC team
•    Share best practices with other Nord Anglia schools
•    Engage in MAC forums and communities
•    Support event delivery in a strategic, scalable way (balancing in-person and digital as needed)

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications / Training
•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Essential)
•    Additional certifications in digital marketing, campaign management or analytics (Desirable)


Experience / Knowledge / Skills
•    Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing team/environment (agency or client side) (Essential)
•    Strong leadership and team management skills (Essential)
•    Experience in campaign planning and digital execution (Essential)
•    Strong understanding of digital advertising and email marketing platforms (Essential)
•    Analytical and confident with performance data (Desirable)
•    Strong copywriting and editing skills with excellent written English (Essential)
•    Cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills (Essential)
•    Experience working in international school or service-based environment (Desirable)
•    Strong aesthetic eye for evaluating visual materials (Essential)
•    High comfort with prioritizing and pushing back on non-strategic tasks (Essential)
