Established in 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is a leading inclusive international school with British heritage, serving international families, set on a green 12-acre site about 20 minutes from the Singapore CBD. In our Early Years we use a Reggio Emilia inspired approach. In Primary we are guided by the National Curriculum for England and the International Primary Curriculum. In Secondary we have IGCSE/GCSE, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and International BTEC qualifications. We also offer courses that focus on English, mathematics, life skills and employability through ASDAN programmes.
All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Secondary.
We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Duties and Responsibilities
Create a welcoming atmosphere:
- Act as the first point of contact for all school visitors enhancing the reputation of the school by creating an excellent first impression.
- Meet and greet parents and visitors, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a professional and friendly manner.
- Be aware of upcoming school events in order to effectively and knowledgably deal with enquiries.
- Respond to phone enquiries professionally with a positive demeanour, forwarding requests as needed or taking messages for staff.
- Ensure the reception area is always neat and tidy.
- Liaise with the marketing department to ensure the TVs are functioning properly, turned on at the start of each day and off at the end.
Handle daily front desk procedures:
- Follow up with families on absent students as per school procedures ensuring timely and accurate student register each day.
- Process packages, deliveries, and mail as needed.
- Handle laptop loaner process for supply teachers.
- Take note of late students and provide late slips.
- Support CCA Officer with CCA attendance as needed.
Event support and participation
- Support departments with event logistics as needed including but not limited to registration, preparation of materials, directing parents, monitoring refreshments.
- Prepare Admissions packets, check-in families and provide general support for regular Admissions tours.
- Stay after hours as needed for face-to-face Parent Teacher Conferences to direct parents.
Safety and security administrative support
- Work with Security to ensure all visitors have appropriate ID badges in line with school policy.
- Work in conjunction with the security guards to maintain security awareness within the school.
-Ensure accuracy of visitor logs, staff leaving logs, and student attendance to provide in the event of an evacuation or drill.
- Provide support to Health and Safety Officer as needed during drills and emergencies.
- Ensure visitors to the school use appropriate toilets to ensure student Safeguarding procedures are maintained.
Ad hoc administrative support
- Provide administrative support as needed including but not limited to filing, calling parents, marketing collateral inventory, copying, etc for the school.
- Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Principal / line manager.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a customer facing role.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- High level of customer service and good interpersonal and team working skills
- Good ICT skills
- Ability to work independently on own initiative and the ability to work under pressure and remain calm
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Flexible and supportive
- Comfortable working in a diverse, multinational community.
