What You’ll Do:
- Provide day-to-day support for a child with a physical disability, both in the classroom and around school
- Assist with self-care tasks as needed, ensuring the student’s dignity, safety, and comfort
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and the Learning Support team to help the student access learning opportunities
- Monitor and record the child’s progress, well-being, and needs, and communicate effectively with staff and parents
- Encourage independence and confidence in the child’s daily activities
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment
Who We’re Looking For:
- Background or prior knowledge in medical care and/or physiotherapy (required)
- At least 2 years of experience working with children, ideally in an educational or care setting
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to student development
- A team player who can collaborate with teachers and staff
- Ability to follow professional guidance while taking initiative when appropriate
- Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive practices
