Job Description
The Controller supports the financial management of the three H-Farm schools by overseeing accounting activities, preparing financial statements, analyzing performance and ensuring compliance with local regulations and Nord Anglia standards. The role collaborates with school leadership, the regional finance team and external partners to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial information that supports strategic and operational decision-making.
The Controller manages general and analytical accounting, ensuring that all entries, reconciliations and records are accurate, complete and compliant. The role prepares periodic financial statements, management reports, cost analyses and performance summaries. These reports support school and regional leadership in budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning. The Controller ensures consistency with Nord Anglia policies and contributes to strengthening financial controls across the schools.
A key responsibility is the analysis of accounting and operational data. The Controller reviews financial results, identifies variances, evaluates trends and highlights opportunities to improve efficiency, cost management and resource allocation. The role works closely with administrative and academic teams to refine processes, ensure accurate data flow and optimise internal procedures. This includes supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.
The Controller coordinates relationships with suppliers, consultants, auditors and external stakeholders involved in financial processes. The role ensures contractual compliance, monitors the performance and costs of external services and supports the due diligence and evaluation of vendors. During audit periods, the Controller prepares financial documentation, ensures data accuracy and collaborates with auditors and internal reviewers.

The Controller works closely with school directors, administrative teams and the regional finance function to ensure financial information is accessible, reliable and integrated into decision-making. The Controller ensures compliance with local tax, accounting and legal regulations. The role prepares required reports for regional and central management, supports internal control processes and contributes to audit readiness. Accurate and timely documentation, clear financial communication and adherence to organisational policies are critical components of the position.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical and analytical skills who can balance operational detail with strategic insight. The Controller thrives in a dynamic, multi-entity environment, collaborates effectively with diverse teams and uses financial information to support business decisions. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving ability and strong organisational skills are essential for success.
Typical qualifications include a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Experience in financial control, accounting management or multi-entity finance roles is preferred. Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and reporting requirements is important. Experience in the education sector or international organisations is an advantage but not required.
