Job Description
To ensure effective production, management and reporting of all Purchase Order and Purchase Invoice matters of the Sao Paulo, Brazil based school.
To provide input at Corporate System and support to the Tax Analyst and Accountant of the Finance Team.
To ensure processing the transactional information for the school is complete and accurate.
To provide advice on improving process at Purchasing of the school.
• Daily review of the Purchase Orders and Purchase Invoices of the School.
• Tax compliance of tax calculation on Vendors invoices (Income tax, Social Contribution, PIS, COFINS, ISS, ICMS, PCC).
• Inputs Purchase Orders and Purchase Invoices at ERP - BC System, follow ups on Purchasing Areas for Posting Purchase Invoice and Purchase Order.
• Run Customer invoices through ERP – BC System, as well as, Customer billings on monthly basis.
• Third part tax analysis and tax retention from third part and suppliers.
• Make suggestions on how to improve Purchasing process, involving other areas.
• Any other necessary tasks within the accounting / finance department.
• Maintain total and absolute secrecy and confidentiality of any and all information pertinent to the work that pertains to the British College of Brazil and NAE, whether this information is from any departments that they may have access to (tax, accounting, financial, human resources, etc.), under the condition of immediate contract termination due to breach of trust and the impossibility of mainta
Required Skills/Abilities
Qualifications/Training
Professionally certified CRC (Brazilian CPA)
Updated with the latest local accounting principles (CPCs)
Experience / Knowledge
2-3 years of experience with proven ability in tax role
Well versed with IFRS and SOX standards
Advanced experience in accountancy software products such as SAGE, MS Navision, and MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
The ability to work to tight deadlines, and the ability to gather, analyse, explain and consolidate data for management reporting
Strong and sound tax skills to calculate, review and plan all the Company’s tax obligation, including international transactions with other group subsidiaries and third parties (imported services)
Review and implement new controls (automated and manual)
Implementation of a new accounting and tax system, if necessary
Attend internal and external auditors, including the local authorities, if necessary
Experience in school environment or in the service sector of Multinational Companies.
